Bird's Bits: 8 YEARS!

Well, today Joseph and I have been together 8 years! Crazy, I know!

People often ask how Joseph and I met and well, that's hard to answer. You see, we actually met on 3 different occasions...

Here we are around January 12, 2001 at Robin's 15th birthday party. Even though we are in the same picture, we hardly knew the other existed. Well, Joseph says that after the party he asked Robin and Aaron why I was with my boyfriend at the time. :)

That summer I broke up with my boyfriend and Joseph and I met on another brief occasion in July. (side note- Also that summer, Joseph, Merissa, Robin, and some other friends bowled often.) Once at Merissa's house, she and Natalie were on the internet talking about how they email and chat with Joe Bullen. I had no idea who that was, but for some STRANGE (and unlike me) reason I asked for his email address so I could add him to my MSN messenger. So, after I added Joseph he sent me an email asking if I was "Kayla, Merissa's friend?". So, thus began our random chatting over the internet. On September 8, 2001 Merissa invited me to youth at First Assembly. I went and Joseph showed up a little late because he was playing the bass at Parkway for some event. I don't remember talking to him that night, but I do remember catching him leaning back in his chair looking at me during devotion time. :) Our relationship grew over the next couple weeks.
